Welcome to the Dev Blog

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to the Dev Blog (Developer Blog).

I have recently been thinking about ways to communicate more detailed info about new updates and planned new features that I’m working on while also helping me wrap my head around where I’m up to.
With a big update coming out (hopefully) this weekend I thought this would be a good time to start. Not sure if there is any interest in this but I’ve always liked the idea of Dev Blogs.

Firstly a little about me.
My name is Jon, I’m 27 and the sole programmer at SportsVoteCount.

I’ve been working on v0.9.2 over the last couple of months and is the biggest update I’ve made since our first public release just over a year ago. That’s the benefit of not having to release any urgent bug fix updates this year.
Have been testing this update as thoroughly as I can over the last couple of days in preparation for its public release and cleaned up a few small things I hadn’t noticed as well as a couple of bigger issues I found but it looks like everything is working well now. A bit annoying to see as many little issues but it at least shows I’ve tested it well.
Unlike v0.9 I released at the start of the year this update doesn’t have as many really big exciting feature inclusions but has lots of smaller features and bug fixes. These are definitely much needed updates though and I am very happy with how it has turned out.

Just created what I hope will be the final build of this update earlier this evening, will do some final testing tomorrow and then on the weekend will update the User Manual and hopefully put it up live on the website.

Will post again this weekend with the release notes when it goes live.
